The Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) is governed by a Board of Directors, established under the Port Authority Act of 1972. As Jamaica’s primary maritime agency, it oversees the development and regulation of the nation’s seaports, directly reporting to the Ministry of Economic Growth & Job Creation.
The Audit and Risk Committee assists the Board in fulfilling its oversight responsibilities for the financial reporting process, the system of internal control, the audit process, and the organization's process for monitoring compliance with laws and regulations and the code of conduct.
